Print and Pattern

Rachel Laughman is an illustrator and surface pattern design artist based out of sunny Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated in 2015 from Pennsylvania College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration and began her freelancing journey.

She has experience working with traditional media, but prefers to work digitally in Photoshop and Illustrator to create both a hand-drawn traditional look, or a clean vector repeat. She draws much of her inspiration from her love of botany and the organized chaos that is nature, and enjoys researching trends to stay on top of the industry. Her goal is to create licensable work for home décor, textiles, and stationary with a host of businesses and see her work flourish.

When she’s not working on new designs, she likes to spend time tending to her garden and chickens.
